Online-Workshop September 8, 2023 9.30 am – 3 pm (Zoom). A German – English translation is provided.

The “International Monument“ at the Neuengamme concentration camp memorial dates back to 1965. It includes 22 plaques that name the states that existed at the time and from which the prisoners of the Neuengamme concentration camp came.

The online-workshop puts the memorial up for discussion and asks for a creative revision. The redesign of the site takes the changed state formation after 1989/90 into account.In the workshop, we want to develop perspectives for a redesign while critically pursuing the question of nationalizing commemoration.
